Honoring those who served this Veterans Day

On this Veterans Day, we honor all those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Their sacrifices and their contributions to our country have been many. In 2010, there were 21.8 million military veterans in the U.S. Take a few moments today to thank them for their willingness to serve and all that they have done.

Some facts about today’s veterans:

  • 9 million veterans were 65 and older in 2010
  • 1.7 million were younger than 35
  • 1.6 million were women
  • 9.6 million veterans aged 18 to 64 are in the labor force

  1. I am a veteran and a real estate professional and woul like to suggest that the VA allow eligible veterans who have their mortgage in a ARM or fixed conventional program at or above 5% interest rates, be allowed to refinance to a VA
    loan without having to pay a 10% down payment to due so.

    FHA is currently at 3.5% down payment and I would like to see something less to refinance into a VA loan for otherwise eligible veterans.
