Attention Illinois REALTORS®: The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) is no longer issuing paper renewal notices and licenses. Effective immediately, all renewal and licensing documentation will be done electronically.

In a news release, IDFPR Secretary Bryan A. Schneider said the change is aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs and providing a better experience for licensed professionals. The electronic verification of licenses will also provide the most up-to-date information available, he said. IDFPR offers an online FAQ to answer some of the questions you might have about the change.

The 2016 Broker License renewal deadline is April 30. To ensure that you receive email renewal notifications and other electronic information from IDFPR, make sure that your email address and contact information are up-to-date.
