On April 25, 1916, the association was incorporated. Next Monday, the association will officially celebrate its 100th anniversary.
On April 4, Congressman Darin LaHood and Springfield Mayor Jim Langfelder attended a special reception at association headquarters when our association announced the selection of a new executive vice president (Luke Bell) and a change in our association’s name (from IAR to Illinois REALTORS®). Langfelder proclaimed April 4 Illinois REALTOR® Day, while LaHood presented another proclamation that was read into the Congressional Record.
Illinois REALTORS® have been recognizing its 100th anniversary in multiple ways, including using a traveling historical display at special events and dedicating the quarterly magazine to different anniversary themes.
