Yes, you do have a few extra days to get your taxes for 2015 ready due to Emancipation Day in Washington, D.C.
But as you get ready to file, take solace in the fact that more than 20 million people join you in waiting to the last minute to file, according to the Internal Revenue Service.
This year, because of IRS rules, you get until April 18 to file. (If you live in Massachusetts or Maine, you get one more day because Monday is Patriots Day in those states.)
