Foreign buyers purchased 3 percent more residential properties from April 2015 to March 2016 than they did during the previous 12 months, according to a report released yesterday by the National Association of REALTORS® Research Department.
During that 12-month period, 214,885 residential properties were purchased by foreign buyers compared to 208,947 during the previous 12-month period, the study noted. Also, a total of $102.6 billion was spent from April 2015-March 2016, down from $103.9 billion during the previous 12 months.
