2016 RPAC Sterling Open draws more than 70 Major Investors to Springfield

The first round of the RPAC Sterling Open Golf Challenge got underway Monday afternoon with many Major Investors unleashing their skills on the Illini Country Club course in sunny Springfield.

More than 70 Major Investors participated in the challenge, with some choosing golf and others choosing a spa day.

Golfers played the par 71 Tom Bendelow designed course, which is host to an annual U.S. Open Qualifier and has hosted state amateur competitions. The course can play up to 6,617 yards.

On Tuesday, Major Investors head to the Panther Creek Country Club, designed by Hall of Fame golfer Hale Irwin.  The course measures 7,244 yards.
