Eight months after his appointment as the Director of Real Estate for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Kreg Allison was unanimously approved for the position this week by the Illinois Senate.
As the head regulator for the real estate industry in Illinois, Allison manages licensure, discipline, professional education and regulation for more than 80,000 professionals. Also, he guides about 40 employees in three offices – Springfield, Chicago and Des Plaines – and works with a budget of approximately $8 million.
Allison is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Ohio.
He was appointed to his position in January 2016 by Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner.
