Finding successful, unique ideas for fundraising — like a men’s cake decorating contest — to combine with traditional ideas like golf outings can help associations raise money for RPAC said Lauren Facemire, Managing Director, RPAC and Political Fundraising for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
Facemire presented NAR recipes for success during the RPAC Strategic Planning Session during the Illinois REALTORS Public Policy Meetings in East Peoria Tuesday.
She spoke about best practices for fundraising, new information about national awards for local associations, strict requirements regarding using social media and details about NAR grants.
She has served in her current position since November 2015, but she started with NAR in July 2014 as a major investor fundraising representative. She became an RPAC fundraising manager before assuming her current position.
In addition to Facemire, the RPAC Strategic Planning Session included: a panel discussion about major investor recruiting, incentives, participation ideas, local goal setting, a special announcement and the REALTORS® Political Involvement Forum.
