Chicago Association of REALTORS® President-Elect Rebecca Thomson joined the Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors in January.
A REALTOR® since 2006, Thomson is the Vice President of Agent Development for @properties where she is responsible for training and business development initiatives for 2,100 brokers in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan. Prior to @properties, Thomson focused her talents on residential sales, new construction and luxury leasing for an international luxury firm.
Thomson is actively involved with the Women’s Council of REALTORS® where she is the 2017 Region II Vice-President and serves on the National Executive Committee. In 2013, she served as the President of the award-winning Chicago network and in 2015 and 2016, served as the Illinois State Governor.
For the National Association of REALTORS®, Thomson is co-chair for the Fall 2017 National Convention, held in Chicago. She is also a member of the National CEO Search Committee. Thomson continues her service as a National Director and is a proud RPAC Golden R President’s Circle Member. Additionally, Thomson serves as a Regent for REALTOR® University and chairs their Development Committee.
For the Illinois REALTORS® Thomson has served on a number of committees. She currently serves on the Finance Committee, the NAR Involvement Sub Committee, the Strategic Thinkers Working Group, a State Legislative Coordinator, and holds a seat as a past-chair of the Illinois YPN Network Advisory Board.
Outside of real estate, Thomson is heavily involved with her community through both the Union League Club of Chicago and Step Up Women’s Network and has served on the board for both organizations.
