Today was the first day voters in parts of 10 counties and two cities could take advantage of early voting and grace period registration for the consolidated primaries, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

Election authorities in Chicago and in parts of Bloomington have designated permanent sites separate from the local election authority office, and the sites are required to stay open on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The same is true in parts of Champaign, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, Peoria, Rock Island, Tazewell and Will counties. Some election authorities have also set up temporary sites, too. Check with ISBE to get the schedule and locations for each early voting polling place.
