Former presidential candidate and Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson will speak at the NAR Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo Tuesday in Washington, D.C.
Carson will speak about the importance of mortgage credit to first-time homebuyers and other Americans. His presentation is part of the Regulatory Issues Forum that begins at 10 a.m. at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. Read more.
On March 2, Carson became the 17th HUD secretary. For almost 30 years, he served as the director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. At age 33, he became the youngest major division director in the hospital’s history. In 1987, he successfully performed the first separation of craniopagus twins conjoined at the back of the head.
