Morning Minute: NAR cautions that tax reform plan could hurt homeowners

In an article and video, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) outlines some of its concerns with the Trump Administration’s tax plan proposal that would call for “reducing the number of tax brackets for individuals, lowering the rates on the remaining brackets, and doubling the standard deduction while eliminating all itemized deductions except those for mortgage interest and charitable contributions.”

The proposed changes could reduce some of the important tax incentives and cost savings that make homeownership attractive over renting. And the changes could also negatively impact home values, according to NAR. Read more.
