About Ann Londrigan

Ann Londrigan is Director of Association Outreach and Marketing for the Illinois Association of REALTORS®. She is responsible for increasing member engagement in and awareness for IAR Governmental Affairs and the RVOICE program as well as increasing participation in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. She is responsible for overall marketing plans for IAR member benefits, educational products and events and is the content manager for IAR’s Facebook page and LinkedIn discussion group. She manages the IAR Welcome Center, serves as staff liaison to the University of Illinois Regional Economics Applications Laboratory, and coordinates the IAR housing stats program.

Illinois REALTORS® support Legacy Awards in Springfield

Dennis Bringuet, president of Ace Sign, accepted a Legacy Award from the Springfield Business Journal earlier this week at the Illinois REALTORS® building in Springfield. Brinquet accepted the award with three generations of his family. The business started in 1940.

Illinois REALTORS® sponsored this year’s Legacy Awards, presented by the Springfield Business Journal. The awards honor local businesses and individual business leaders for their commitment to the Springfield community and historic preservation.

Congratulations to all recipients including Ace Sign Co. in the category of 51-100 years in business. Ace created the signage for the Illinois REALTORS® building in 2007 and again in 2016 for the historic name change.

Other award winners included:

Fletcher Farrar, editor of the Springfield Business Journal, thanked Illinois REALTORS® for hosting the event. He shared the importance of a thriving local business community and how the leaders at the event leaving a legacy for future generations through their involvement in historic preservation and commitment to keeping their businesses in Springfield.

The Vachel Lindsay Association receives the 2017 Historic Preservation Fund of the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln grant of $7,500. The home is located across the street from the Illinois REALTORS headquarters and just south of the Governor’s Mansion. The grant will fund repainting of the exterior of the home as part of the Illinois Bicentennial celebrations.

How can you get involved? Here are four quick ways Illinois REALTORS® can make a difference this campaign year.

1.  Vote. Are you registered to vote? If not, you can register by Feb. 16 for the March 15 Illinois Primary Election. Go to the Illinois State Board of Elections web page to find out where to do this in your local area: https://ova.elections.il.gov/

2. Act. Sign up for the REALTOR® Party mobile text alerts so you when an important issue comes up this year that affects your real estate business, you will hear about it right away. It’s easy to do. Just text REALTORS to 30644.

3. Act.  Put REALTOR® Lobby Day & 100th Anniversary Reception on your calendar – April 5 in Springfield!

4. Invest. Help elect REALTOR®-supported candidates in the primary and general elections. Investing just $20 can make a difference.*

Vote for the official hashtag for IAR’s 100 Year Anniversary

In 2016 we begin a yearlong celebration of the Illinois Association of REALTORS® centennial milestone. Many events are planned including the April 26 Lobby Day & Anniversary Reception. Mark your calendar!

And please vote for our “official” anniversary year hashtag.

Members of the IAR 100th Anniversary Task Force, chaired by Pam Krieter of the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®, have narrowed choices down to a top-5 list. You can also suggest your own.

Voting ends at noon on Oct. 6 when we’ll reveal the anniversary logo and official hashtag at Inaugural festivities for our incoming 2016 IAR President Mike Drews of Aurora.
